This M510 doesn't store the same small unified receiver, and doesn't have a zipper storage pocket. It does have a tiny on/off switch on the bottom. When you primary turn it on, a green LED lights on top, then goes out just after a couple of secs. There's no visible laser coming out the bottom. It works on two provided AA cells.
The M510 offers a number of extra features that are awesome but probably not required by everybody. it gives 3 programmable buttons. one is a scroll wheel push. the other 2 are on the side out of the way. otherwise the 2 mice perform the same. they both have a horizontal scrolling function which is allowed by downloaded free Logitech program. you tilt the scroll wheel for that. they both are a satisfaction to utilize. very low friction on most surface types and they look to work simply about everywhere that is not a mirror finish.
